You may click the link to switch the active language.<\/p><img src=\"http:\/\/image.vietnamnews.vn\/\/uploadvnnews\/Article\/2017\/8\/10\/honkhoai400111456AM.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Viet Nam News<br \/>\nH\u00c0 N\u1ed8I \u2014 The southernmost province of C\u00e0 Mau is seeking investment to develop a US$3.5 billion seaport complex, which can receive vessels of up to 250,000 tonnes capacity, on H\u00f2n Khoai Island.<\/p>\n<p>At a working session with Minister of Transport Tr\u01b0\u01a1ng Quang Ngh\u0129a on Wednesday, C\u00e0 Mau Province proposed that the H\u00f2n Khoai Seaport should be considered one of the major national projects requiring investment.<\/p>\n<p>Nguy\u1ec5n Ti\u1ebfn H\u1ea3i, chairman of the provincial People\u2019s Committee, proposed that the transport ministry adjust planning and scale of the H\u00f2n Khoai Seaport to enable it to welcome vessels with capacity of up to 250,000 tonnes.<\/p>\n<p>Under the current approved plans, the H\u00f2n Khoai Seaport is capable of receiving vessels from 100,000 tonnes to 160,000 tonnes.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Tr\u01b0\u01a1ng Quang Ngh\u0129a said calling for investment to develop the H\u00f2n Khoai Seaport from the State budget was not feasible, given the limited budget of the Government.<\/p>\n<p>Ngh\u0129a said the province needed to carefully study the feasibility of the project to call for investment, adding that the ministry would support the province in implementing this project.<\/p>\n<p>The H\u00f2n Khoai Seaport project has been calling for investment since July 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The province said H\u00f2n Khoai Seaport has several advantages.
